V.4.10 is the entrance to a modest house.
Just past the doorway threshold, on the right is a cubiculum (letter A), and to the left are the stairs (a) with a small room under them, all made from limestone. The area under the stairs could have been used as a dog-kennel.
The small atrium B was nearly all occupied by a masonry basin (b) near to the south side, that collected the rainwater and fed the cistern (c) which had a masonry puteal.
On the black zoccolo of the atrium, a graffito was seen –

On the north side of this atrium opened cubiculum C and the room D, not yet completely unearthed, with brick zoccolo and white plaster: and on the west side was the room E with a window onto the atrium.
On the east wall of the mezzanine floor above cubiculum C,
on the plaster made from mattone-pesto (brick-paste), one could read inscribed
in large letters, 55mm high on average:

to NdS –
“Entering the
roadway that leads to the east of the insula, between doorways 9 and 10, above
the rustic plaster, written in red letters, was –
Then more
towards the doorway at number 10, near to a high red zoccolo, on the coarse
plaster were two fighting gladiators, roughly painted, in monochrome red. On
one of these in red and solid letters, could be read -

side of doorway 10, on the red zoccolo was graffiti –
